When Andrew White was asked to join and help out a traffic control business, it was 2004 and the industry was in its infancy. Think paper receipts in a shopping bag, everyone using their own vehicle on the job, and all the jobs fitting onto one small whiteboard. Having come from a production environment where automation, business management and quality control was everything, he saw a massive opportunity to implement systems and improvements to the business, and in fact, to the industry itself.
16 years later, under his guidance, Workzone Traffic Control has not only grown but we’ve gained a reputation as the traffic management problem solvers. We’re one of the more experienced companies, with well experienced, highly trained staff. We pay more attention to detail, to keeping our clients and our people safe, to ensuring our solutions allow the work to be done in a safe, compliant, efficient manner. We use trucks rather than utes because they’re safer. Our recent innovations to traffic control include the PortABoom and radar speed displays, to improve safety at worksites. And we’re proud to be the first in South Australia to use an LTMA — a Light Truck Mounted Attenuator to improve onsite safety.
At Workzone we have over 180 traffic control workers available, supported by 20 office staff at our Head Office in Hendon, SA. We also service clients from our locations in Lonsdale, Mount Gambier, Port Pirie, Port Augusta and Whyalla.
